Bad News

I saw the surgeon today. He said he couldn't do the surgery that the likely hood of me dying on the operating table is too high. No Surgeon in the DFW area will touch it. The said they would talk to some surgeons at MD Anderson and see if any one there would attempt it, but I am not going to do it it is way too risky. Oncologist said this particular cancer Chemo is not effective on.

So what I am going to do is try a natural method that I have been studying the last two years. I had already ordered the Herbs and started today (well they are not exactly herbs but a concentrated extract from the Venus Fly Trap). This will be a good experiment and I am not just going to lay down and die. It is a 20 week program and I'll let everyone know my progress. This was illegal a few years back but it is not now. Maybe we can all learn something from it.

If this works we will learn something real from a known source and not some BS actor just trying to sell products to desperate people. If it doesn't work we will learn from that as well. If I am going to die I'm going to do it as a test subject and make it matter for something even in some small way.

Ronald Reagan used it on his cancer because he was president and could get these "drugs" when they were illegal. Anyone who has had actual success using natural cures alone leave me a note in the comments. But please only those who have direct knowledge that it worked. If you have suggestions that's fine I'll look into them, but would like to see at least one success story, I don't think there is one with direct knowledge but I hope so.

Also let me point out that my parish priest anointed me with oils (Forehead and hands) and said prayers and read Gospel readings while laying hands on me today, so religious belief (faith) is also part of the program.

The Faraday Papers

I won't give my impression of them yet as I have just started reading them, in fact I only finished the first of 17, but looks promising. These papers have few copyright restrictions, basically just don't change the text and you can give them away freely to anyone anytime. I'll reserve my judgments for now as I continue. I am sure some of my readers have heard of them, I had not until yesterday.  I'll just post the link and description. They are PDF files.

Morbid Hobby

I called a friend tonight is Mississippi. I was watching the Weather Underground radar from here in TX and told him to take cover. I had seen the debris ball and a tornado for sure on the ground. He blew me off. A little later he called me back telling me how the tornado tore up the trees and the police had all the roads closed off.

I was a storm spotter for years and took classes and I find I am vexed. I am constantly yelling at the TV telling them to call a tornado warning before the sirens go off here at home. 

So chalk another up for the amateur meteorologist who has personally seen the carnage and yes the deaths caused by tornado's. I have a love-hate relationship with bad weather.

Political Saints

John Paul II and John XXIII were canonized today as saints by the Roman Catholic Church. This was a political move not a spiritual one. The requirements of sainthood were not met by John XXIII and JP II were suspect. There are no miracles attributed to John XXIII recognized by the Church that I am aware, the same pope that started the heresy of Vatican II by opening it.

So why did they do it? Political reasons, the RCC has become as the world as Pius XII warned us shortly before his death, (his successor John XXIII canonized today) Pius XII spoke even before that what was to become of the Church. He was right. So no Catholic go saying love it or leave it. I love the faith but not what the Church has become. I shall not leave the faith but I can't prevent the Church from doing so.

I stood; and in the distance I saw a hideous creature (Satan) saying "Rebuild the Church and build it strong, with no angels on guard, and I shall tear it down."

What an ominous warning!

Update for Res: The Lambs Supper If you want to know about what the Mass means for your own edification, I highly recommend this book written by a former Protestant minister, who went to a High Mass and sat in the back and what he saw with his knowledge of the Bible blew him away. He went there for other motives and walked out a different person about the RCC and converted later.

Gorgons, Griffins and the Rhinoceros

All a sudden this year there multiple shows on monsters, ghosts and aliens. From Shadow creatures to alien to bigfoot. Never seen them myself. I think the wildest one is something called the "Black eyed children." It is almost like vampire stories where they can't come in unless you invite the. They knock on doors of houses and cars, ask to come in, either needing a ride or say they are hungry or something. There is always two of them of every story I have seen on the TV. If it is on the TV it must be true. I also like the shadow people stories. No one I have ever met has had an encounter with either.

Now these are documentaries on channels like the history channel or other similar channels. I think people like ghost stories because they seem to be popular documentaries. I think it is all BS myself. As you know I have been concentrating on the UFO Phenomena, now everything is wild. Mothman and monsters. What is it in the mind of men that not only brings the stories out, grabs their interest even though no one I ever talked to has ever seen such monsters. I have seen some weird stuff, but at the time I was on SSRI's, quit them things years ago. The withdrawal hallucinations were much worse than the actual ones I was having while on them.

LSD will do the same thing but with immediate effects. Never tried it, but know people who have. It is like dreams, you got no control over. Taking a drug, licking frogs or eating certain plants can do this as well. The question is why would anyone want lick a frog and see stuff that ain't there?

I think people are just bored of life because they can't see the beauty of a tree, the sky, clouds and God's nature. They are looking for something new and the amazing things that are real and right before us have become normalized and imaginations carry people away to the point that they would rather see hallucinations than the majesty and beauty right before their eyes.

I see this as a corruption of the mind. To plant a garden and watch things grow isn't good enough. Getting out the hoe and chopping the weeds and invaders which is a very healthy thing to do has been replaced with monsters and ghosts. There is a great delusion consuming the minds of men, They have become lovers of the secret places that don't exist and forgetful of the wonderful world that exists but looks as it shouldn't.

Computer question - Battery saving tips

If you just want to run on batteries from your laptop and listen to an MP3 file, is there a way to turn off your screen to save battery power? I know this is probably a stupid question because if you turn your screen off how do you see to turn it back on? I figure it is the screen that drains the most power while listening. Maybe there is a control button you can use. I have a Dell laptop running Widows 7. If there is a power saving trick it would be greatly appreciated, I run 2-3 hours max with full battery, any help or suggestions are welcome and appreciated. The only reason I am asking is our electric went out today and made me think about it.

Bear in The Woods

In the Early 90's I went with a friend I had since grade school to Northern California (Weaverville). We went to a bar (The only one) and had a few beers and decided we was going to drive up a mountain to the fire station lookout. We were nearly to the top after driving for 30 minutes in a rented car and hit a locked gate.

We turned round and about half way down the beer started to work on my bladder and asked him to pull over. We got out and both were doing our business and he said, "Did you hear that?" I told him I heard nothing so we got back in the car and backed out of a little pull off in the road and as soon as he turned his headlights back down the road there was a large black bear running away about 50 feet away running down the road. I don't know much about bears an figure he was just curious. But I remembered telling him there is nothing out here but dark, I was wrong.

I don't think black bears are dangerous, but am glad we got back into the car before we found out.

Are black bears dangerous, anyone know? He had white fur on his back legs like socks if that helps.

Brisket

When I was a young child we used to have things called butcher shops. A funny thing happened along the way, the Butchers would pretty much almost give away the brisket. Some dumb southerner invented the smoker and now we got a cut of meat that is probably the best. The Brisket.

Grandma used to use it as chili meat, what a waste. Now there are brisket cooking competitions. I love Brisket, there are restaurants centered around what was junk meat. Now it is Texas cuisine.

The butcher shop always stank. but every Saturday it was a regular stop off and the back was one giant refrigerator with hanging meat.

The Nurse

I got so many doctors, nurses and Techs it is hard to keep up with them all. Most all of them are very nice. But there is this one particular nurse I was talking with two days ago while she was taking my blood pressure and temperature. We were talking about things non-health. She paused a minute and said "I am kind of fond of you, don't die on me." I paused for a second and said. "We all die, I got one parent left, 4 grandparents that died, and they have 8 parents that died."

I said "everyone dies that has ever been and everyone will die that will ever be." "God himself died on the cross and was raised on the third day, don't fear death." I could see in her eyes she never thought about it from that angle, but knew it was true. I smiled and said, "When I die I will await the resurrection and we will see each other again."

Most people lose sight of the fact, death has no sting.

I am not a good writer, but I think I'll keep my blog. I see the main man tomorrow, my favorite doctor ever.

Outlaw, Guitar, Song writting

If you live around there you will know, at least back in the late 80's that you could turn down a road and it was a dead end. I thought how appropriate no sign back then. They didn't tell you just headed down a dead end road.

The music business is the dead end, never let your children even try, play the local bars, I was making $1500 for a 5 guy band on the weekends. That's $300 a person for two 4 hour sets. That was real money 25 years ago.

So Find one of these in this shape for less than $4,000. You can make money in music, you can't expect music industry to make you money.

Some advertises theirs as the most powerful silver solution. I can make more powerful. They only have like 12-38 ppm and says not for regular use. OK, when do you use it? I make my own colloidal silver with electrolysis, good for mouth and skin infections, I never swallow it. I think mine is about 900- 1000 ppm. Why skimp? Electricity is cheap. You got to clean the negative side though, I use scrubbing pads. Two silver wires I use in a jar, and 30 volts of DC electricity (Anode/Cathode). I am going to draw a picture with CAD.

The two rods are silver 0.999 pure, 0.960 is good enough.. You can find them at jewelry shops, mine are 3/16 inch rods in water jar. You can use three - 9V batteries in series or as I have a 30V DC adapter. 2 minutes beats anything on the market, don't drink it Mouth wash only, spit out. Five Minutes, mix with honey and place it on an infected sore and wrap it, change it twice a day and nothing the doctors got is better. Use real honey not the corn syrup stuff that is a big mistake. Read Ingredients, "Pure natural honey."

Why people Cry?

Feelings hurt, Body Hurt, but the most crying is done to hurt other people. John C wright said it well.

"Crucify him, Crucify him" Funny, the Sunday before they were throwing palms before his feet, then the next week they said "Crucify him". What do you expect from the world? They build celebrity then tear them down. There are many Novelists, Actors, Playboys that are built up just to tear down. They dance with the Devil and the Devil decides when the dance is over.

There are many lessons to be learned. If the world will crucify God himself, what are your chances? A man sinless in a world of sin nailed to the cross? Yet people want to play god in their sinfulness? One of the Beatles proclaimed, "we are bigger than Jesus." That man, in Forest Gump language was shot down, Died on the street.

Jesus died because he was good, no, perfect, in an imperfect world. So when the world treats you bad take that as a compliment. Don't cry, and never boast. We all gonna die of something, I'd rather die alone, and we all will.

"There is no crying in baseball"  and it is just a game.

The Sister-in-law Syndrome

Politics sucks, let me point that out first. But I got a Sister-in-Law that uses the same tactics. She will cry, worry and complain about someone using the woe is me teary eyed BS. Ever known anyone like that? They are people with perpetual persecution complexes. They can turn on the tears any time they want. They are actually psychopathic, narcissistic morons. They complain about everything, they are drama queens. Of course the people close to them figure this out, some sooner, some later. I want to show you this in a TV Political advertisement for Lieutenant Governor of the great State of Texas. Tell me you haven't met someone like this? Watch her eyes well up nearly tearing.

She is a witch, no better way to say it. And don't think she won't turn on a dime even when she gets what we she wants after being paid to do it. I have no dog in the fight, but this gives me reason to vote for Patrick. Besides most everyone knows Dewhurst stopped the bill to throw the TSA out of Texas.

Easter Bug

I came down with something on the night before Easter. I was in bed for 24 hours. Sickness isn't fun, feeling better today. I pretty much missed Easter with family. I am not complaining it just seems almost every holiday something happens to me. On Thanksgiving morning (2013) when I got out of the shower, I tripped and got a compound fracture on my big toe. I was bleeding like a slaughtered pig until I put some Celox on it, wrapped and bleeding stopped in about 30 seconds and enjoyed Thanksgiving with family then went to the doctor on Friday.

I recommend everyone buy a pack of Celox and keep it in their first aid kit. It is what the military used to use, may still, to stop moderate to severe bleeding. Follow instructions always.

Happy Easter

You know, Jesus or angels rolled the stone away. Maybe today is the day we do as well. What stone keeps you in the grave of modern society? Maybe it is time to roll it away? We don't think about the tombs in which we live, we have become used to them, dark and damp, full of spiders.

Get rid of the maggots that are eating at you and rise again to be closer to God. Find your heart again in this Easter season. God loves you and no one can take that away. Drop your hatred, give people the benefit of the doubt.

Give yourself the benefit of the doubt. Learn to love yourself, because if you can't do that you can't love others. You may be in pain from illness either physical or mental, but hope is in the eternal not temporal.

Use this day of the risen Lord to ride again. Fear not your enemies at work or in your neighborhood, smile when it is hard, and smiling becomes easy when it is not. Be good to yourself, and be good to others.

Today is a day of decision, so make the right one.

One in a Million

I was a storm spotter, not a chaser that worked with the National Weather Service. Saw dead bodies, mangled cars, houses blown 200 yards away, but there was nothing like the El Reno tornado.

Tips: if you are a motorcycle rider put on your helmet, put the bike helmets on the kids, put goggle on if you got them. You know the rest. 2X4 shards sticking through the heads of victims, none of them survived. You know the safety rules, follow them, don't be a hero.

The Dyslexic Outlaw

Yes, unfortunately I am dyslexic. I have trouble with spelling and actually reading. In other words, I do both slow. So if you see a post of mine change a word or a sentence structure, you know why.

There is one plus to being dyslexic that I can think of, when you read something someone else wrote you look backward as well as forward, right to left as well as left to right. You see thing no one else see's.

I don't recommend it but it does have some advantages like being blind improves other senses. I rather wish I wasn't dyslexic. Just a note to any readers.

UFOs Explained - Part 2

Communion

Okay, so what are UFO this question everyone's asking? I don't think it's a simple answer. I think it's a complicated one. Why don't we look at some of the recent and not so recent UFO accounts. So let's start with some definitions. By recent I mean, from the mid-20^th century to now. By not so recent. I mean to all times. So let's start with the recent accounts.

We have the following:

• Whitley Strieber.
• Betty and Barney Hill.
• Travis Walton..

What do all of these have in common? They have all been played over and over again on TV to tell us their stories, their experiences and the wonderment.

Whitley Strieber claims the experience of abduction by aliens. He said: I was assaulted by something from the unknown, rather than possessed by. I hope I was never possessed by it. Although there are those who would disagree with me. After what happened to me. I decided it might be a good idea to accept the idea the devil just in case that's what I saw. He then described his experience when he claims he was transported back in time and described one of the beings as what seemed almost to be a demon with a narrow face and dark, slanted eyes.

Terrible fears raced through me: they were predators and they were going to eat our souls; they were demons never going to drag me off to hell.

And before the great power of the visitors, what with their counsel against me? I was alone with this and at the moment. I was in hell.

I worried that they would come and steal me away. Or perhaps they would kill me and eat my soul.

Increasingly, I felt as if I were entering a struggle that my be even more than alive or dead. It might be a struggle for my soul, my essence, or whatever part of me might have referenced to the eternal. There are worse things than death, I suspect it. So far, the word demon had never been spoken among the scientist, doctors who were working with me. And why shouldn't it have been? We were beyond such things. We were group of atheists and agnostics, far too sophisticated to be concerned with such archaic ideas as demons and angels. I worried about the legendary cunning of demons. At the very least, I was going stark, raving mad.

While her mother sister so secretive, hiding themselves behind my consciousness? I can only conclude that they were using me and did not want me to no one. What if they were dangerous? That I was terribly daggers because I was playing a role in aqua acclimatizing people to them.

Of course they were demons. They had to be and they were here and I couldn't get away. I felt my soul being carried away by a triumphant spiritual predator. I wondered if I might not be in the grip of demons, if they were not making me suffer for their own purposes, or simply for their enjoyment. He said he could smell the presence of the aliens and they smelled like sulfur.

Well let's look at UFO's first from a secular stand point. The Universe is 14.5 billion years old or about. The time it takes light to travel to the nearest star is about 4 years. Science says quite plainly that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. Science also says it is possible to bend space, but the energy it would take to make a wormhole the size of a grapefruit would take the energy that our sun puts out over ten billion years.

We also have a problem with time. Time at the outer reaches of the Milky-way galaxy runs faster than the time close to the center. Some would call it gravitational distortion, not me, I call it natural space-time gravitational ratios.

Now we have Machiavellianism to deal with. As mankind increases in knowledge he also increases the likelihood of him killing himself off. Luckily we haven't yet done it, but don't count on us not to.

This brings up an interesting psychological component of ET's. I call it the savior complex. The ET's are watching us and if we get too out of hand they will step in and save us. The thought that some benevolent sentient being is going to save the Earth from mankind. Well he didn't help the Ukraine under communism, the Jews under Hitler or do they ever solve poverty? Of course not, and under secular thinking if they don't stop suffering they don't exist or they are not benevolent. That's what the secular say about God.

The truth is there are no ET's visiting Earth, and never have. Now we have to define ET's.

ET – A being formed by evolution, living in the 3 dimensional space of space-time and bound by its laws who lives and dies in this universe from a different planet.

With that definition there are no ET's and I don't care what the guy with the funny hair says on Ancient Aliens he is wrong.

So what are the UFO's? Stay tuned, because it is obvious to me and I have researched them for years. And it is not what you think. Notice the word “it”.

"Men in Black"coming? Nope, until the final part. I like their sunglasses and the flashy 1950's suits. I like those hats as well. Maybe we can make a deal?

It could be the opening scene of an apocalyptic science fiction film, but it's just the U.S. military going about its business, building vast and other-worldly architectural structures that the civilian world only rarely sees.

Prayer to Our Crucified Lord

 

Heavenly Father, in the Holy Name of Your Son Jesus, crucified for my sins, and in the love of the Holy Spirit, I come very humbly before You, with sorrow for my sins. I acknowledge that You suffered so much for me and for all, and that we are indebted to You forever.

Father, I appreciate very much Your sufferings for me and for the rest of humanity. I thank You for saving me through Your crushing pain, through Your many wounds, through Your tiredness and agony and through Your Precious Blood shed with so much pain and love for us; through Your difficulty to breath, through Your sweat and tears, through Your merciful patience, through every effort that You made and through Your total offering for my sins and for the sins of the whole world.

 

Lord, I complain sometimes when I have a little misfortune, a wound or when I am sick or tired, rejected, despised or prosecuted. But You were covered through Your entire Body with painful wounds; You were pierced with pain by the crown of thorns, You were stripped of Your Flesh by the scourging, You were insulted with terrible blasphemies, You were spat upon, You were humiliated, You were inflicted new wounds upon Your wounded shoulder by the crushing weight of the cross, You were inflicted more wounds upon Your wounds by the brutal stripping of Your garments, You were pierced painfully by the nails on the cross, You were hanged upon the cross to bleed painfully to death, You suffered asphyxiation as You found it very painful to breathe, and yet Your physical agony was only part of Your suffering compared to Your spiritual agony because You are God, and Your Holy Soul was sorrowful unto death as You surrendered Your life in exchange for our eternal life.

Geoengineering

They were doing it here in DFW yesterday. Doing circles and crosses. Got out my binoculars and it was clear they were spraying something. They were not commercial jets. I don't know what they are doing but going in circles and making X's in the sky is not a fuel efficient way to fly. It was a clear blue morning and in two hours they spread out and completely covered the sky (They have to be eclectically charged nano-particles that are repelling one another). The PH in my garden is rising every year and I have to put out sulfur to keep it down.

Government Trolls

No, not just the internet. This is weird, are they that scared?

The US government actually hires people into a 'Gang Stalking' program where people, hired and paid by the US government are sent out among the rest of the population to deliberately "harass and use psychological tactics (such as gas-lighting and directed conversation)," in public places such as shopping malls, retail outlets, medical facilities, airports, parks, movie theaters, according to the video below by PrePackagedNews.

 This is in addition to the Internet trolls, shills and PR agents the government hires to deliberately troll the Internet for information the government doesn't want the general populace to know about, to distract and redirect the conversation by providing government approved links or simply ignoring the focus of an article to personally attack either the writer, another commenter, etc.... anything to refocus attention away from the damaging information the government wants shut down.

 

 This also brings up the question of whether these "gang stalkers" are reporting back to their handlers what the conversation was, perhaps taking pictures and taking down names, addresses, car license plates and "tagging" those individuals who are considered dissidents? Are they recording these conversations?

The meaning of life and timing devices

There is no meaning. I see the people running to and fro in their cars all in a hurry to get nowhere. Oh yeah, most are going to a cubicle doing this and that out of survival instinct. But there is no meaning. I like to get up at 4:00 AM and watch the local news and the traffic reports. As the morning goes on there are more wrecks and congestion for people rushing somewhere to do things at a certain time collaborating with either an electronic or mechanical timing device.

Bosses have been told and responsible people agree that you must obey the timing device. Well of course they should or anarchy would set in. But the farmer uses a mechanical device, the most accurate one in the world, the sun. City folk use watches to catch planes, make appointments and generally be required to show up at a device marker.

Now it is important that we all synchronize our timing devices so we can all be on the same page. Then we all agree for the most part that we will adjust our timing device twice a year by an hour one way or another. I am told this is so bankers and politicians can get the ignorant populace to change their timing devices so they can go golfing a few extra holes in the afternoon. Everybody accepts the changing of the timing device without question and just change them.

Farmers don't give a damn except if they have children in schools or need parts at the part store which has changed their timing device. I swore when I retired I would throw my watch away, but you can't because of them damn doctors.

Oh yeah you can tell me how important time is for navigation and appointments, but you can't tell me why they decide to change the timing devices twice a year. Some dumb politician a few years back even changed the timing of the change as it would save energy. It was a lie, the sun don't change, and neither does your biological clock say that on this day I will change so you better change the timing devices.

One day people will look back on this time and think of us as flat Earthers. While claiming an energy crisis and peak oil, we forgot to use the information highway infrastructure and work from home. It took Eisenhower four years to build the Interstate highway system, now it takes the idiocracy four years to build a single mix master.

Propaganda

Propaganda didn't used to be a dirty word until commies, Hitler and Edward Bernays. But the fact is we are bombarded by it everyday. Buy this car, drink this beer and drink this beer while driving this car (football commercials). Edward Bernays put it succinctly in his book Propagada (I believe he was the nephew of Sigmund Freud).

It is so true, someone will say something on the TV and a few people repeat it and soon everybody is repeating it. Bernays got women to smoke in the name of feminism and got fluoride in our water in the name of healthy teeth (saved companies millions in getting rid of their toxic waste). We all know how good smoking is for you, that's my favorite, let's empower women by getting them to engage in a behavior that will kill them. I also like the fluoride in the water thingy. People actually think that drinking fluoridated water helps their teeth, and that's why I drink sun tan lotion to keep from getting sunburned. Let's just admit it MPAI (Most People Are Idiots).

The time tested theory that seems to work every time, takes us to war in the name of peace, kills our unborn in the name of choice and convinces us that Muslims hate us for our freedom while simultaneously taking them away in their name. If I get to feeling better I believe I will get me one of them TSA jobs so I can stick my hands down other men's pants. Oh, what a thrill that must be (perverts). I'll take the risk rather than being felt off to fly. I don't know which is worse another man grabbing your private places or my plane blowing up in mid air? I think I will take the latter rather than the former. Yes, I'll take my chances on that one.

But just think about restaurants where by word of mouth some are the place to be seen or to tell everyone you were there this weekend. Hell, it don't matter if they served fried dog turds people would still go.

But not all people are idiots. My favorite Yogi-ism is when asked if he went to a certain restaurant he said, "Nobody goes there any more it is always too crowded."

Conspiracy Theories of Wall Street Genius Mark Gorton

I found this article interesting.

Palm Sunday Is This Sunday

The Palm Sunday Tornado Outbreak occurred on April 11th, 1965 with the violent storms tearing through much of the Southern Great Lakes Region and Northern Ohio Valley. The worst hit states were Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. It is the second biggest tornado outbreak on record; 47 confirmed tornadoes resulted in 271 people killed and 3,400 people injured in just a twelve hour span. Damages from the storms mounted to more than 200 million dollars (1.1 billion/2003 dollars). Only the "Super Outbreak" of April 3rd, 1974 was worse. This write-up is mainly from a Southeast Lower Michigan perspective with some data taken directly from the NWS Storm Data files.

Back to the Palm Sunday storm (1965).

Hours before the tornado outbreak began, some people in the Midwest complained about the heat, as the temperature rose to an unseasonable 83 degrees in some areas. Storms developed throughout the day as a strong low pressure system moving through Wisconsin drew warm, humid air into southern Michigan. Cooler and drier air at higher altitudes mixed with moist, warm air near the surface, resulting in highly unstable conditions.

Here they come again this Sunday, in my neck of the woods and east. TX, OK, AR watch out. Looks like a bad one. Don't know about anywhere else. My friend always tells me days ahead, that's his expertise and he is usually right.

I love Archery, but especially traditional stick bows. I got fairly good and then bought two books.

 

 

Become The Arrow

Instinctive Shooting

 



I got even better after reading those two books. Traditional Bow hunting is great, and I tucked my compound bow away. "Become The Arrow" is the fisrt book I recommend as it teaches you to see the trajectory of the arrow before you let it go. Instinctive shooting is more of a book on technique. Both are good books but "Instinctive Shooting" is either expensive or hard to find.

I have shot my friends new Cam compounds and they will throw an arrow like no other bow, but I still like the traditional stick bows better. I have gone back to wooden arrows, do my own fletching and points as you can see in the picture (click to enlarge) Being right handed and left eyed dominant it was a problem at first, but I learned to compensate. Most things I ever read say that it is easier to change hands than to compensate for eye dominance. While this may be true somehow I managed.

There is nothing as fun as starting traditional, going compound then back to traditional. This is what I did. When the first commercial compounds came out I had to have one. I put sights and noise suppressors and was stepping in high cotton, or so I thought. Years later I went back to traditional because I was bored or something. I wanted the challenge and won't ever go back to aluminum or carbide arrows and compound bows.

I don't think there is anything like stringing a stick bow and walking out with bow in hand and wooden arrows slung across your back. Shooting traditional is like learning to walk or ride a bicycle. Seeing the arrow go before you let it go is an empowering feeling. It becomes as easy as pointing your finger. No sites to hassle with, no range finder needed, just you and the arrow.

Making your own arrows and tuning your bow is fun. I'll take traditional archery every time, or you can pay almost $2,000 for the latest greatest Titanium Whapper Zapper and buy $9.00 arrows and bend or break half of them sighting it in. Or you can learn to shoot traditional bows and make your own arrows from stock. It is a great hobby.

Blogging

I am not complaining, but it seems to get harder and harder to blog these days. The "I don't care" attitude is getting stronger (my stuff is important). But I wake up in the middle of the night and see Vox, Res and others blogging, when their burden of life may be dificult but still take time out of their day to do it. When you stop caring is when you waste away.

Why people blog is not a mystery, why people don't is the logical conclusion of a busy life. Not to say that people who do are not busy with life. They are, and have something to say. It is not easy to blog every day, but it costs you nothing for random comments. This is why people comment more than they blog. Most people haven't much to say until someone puts an idea in their head. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Most people won't even comment.

The requirements for a blog is not to search the bowls of the internet and then report on it, it is a man or women who thinks and has something to say. The reason Vox Popoli is a well known blog and well read is because he thinks both by abstraction or things in the news.

I blog because, and only because it is my last hurray. I don't do it for anyone but me, and if people like it so be it if the don't then don't read it.

I figure this medium will be shut down one day, but don't expect to see it on my life time.

There is a saying, "Make hay while the sun shines". That saying is because rained on hay is almost worthless. And if one day they start to control the internet, which they will, Then that's the day all hay will be rained on.

Keep your chin up, and most of all keep your sanity.

TV is Bullshit among other things

TV is bullshit, and I'm am sure that everyone who is been watching it has noticed this. Network TV really sucks the history channel isn't about history anymore. The only thing I use my TV for is a nightlight. It comes in handy as a nightlight. It comes in handy for such, so that's what I use it for. I will probably not be watching football next season and the only basketball I watched was the final game of the NCAA tournament.

I'm tired football and their pink month, their pink shoes, pink ideas and their pinko thinking. I probably won't be watching football next year, because I am damn tired of them.

Nato has warned Russia that further intervention in Ukraine would be a "historic mistake" with grave consequences.

Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said Moscow must pull back troops it has massed on the Ukrainian border.

Ukraine has regained control of one of the government buildings occupied by pro-Russian activists in the east of the country, in the city of Kharkiv.

However, armed militants are refusing to withdraw in another city, Luhansk.

Moscow has said that using force to end the protests could lead to civil war.

Kiev says the unrest in the east is being fomented by Russia following its annexation of the Crimean peninsula.

UFOs Explained, Part 1

INTRODUCTION

UFOs and extra terrestrial seem to be all the craze these days. Every cable-TV channel from the history Channel to the military Seem to have a UFO program. My intention here is not to tell you exactly what UFOs are but maybe help people to understand the social phenomenon, that puzzles many people.

UFOs have seemed to enter the American psyche over the past few years and have grown exponentially. I have some ideas on why this might be so. In this introductory part one I want to explain the possibilities of why this might be, what people are seeing, whether real or not or whether they're just hallucinations or some other sociological phenomenon.

It is said that 95% of all UFO reports are explainable, either they are natural or man-made phenomenon, while 5% of all UFO reports cannot be explained. I intend to focus on the 5% that cannot be explained. What are the reasons that people report UFOs? Let us go through a short list of possibilities. You may have some of your own.

• People making stuff up.
• People hallucinating.
• People with active imaginations.
• People who saw something that they cannot explain

Why would people make stuff up? I put it in three categories, all of which overlap. One is notoriety, another is fame and the last will be money or financial reasons.

Let's go to hallucinations, because that's what many people believe people are seeing something that is not there. Let's look at the 17 different causes of hallucinations.

1. Dementia.
2. Alcohol withdrawal delirium.
3. Psychosis.
4. Epilepsy
5. Wernick Korsakoff syndrome
6. Schizophrenia
7. Partial seizures.
8. Delirium.
9. Low blood sugar
10. Caffeine overdose.
11. Narcolepsy.
12. Migraine with Aura
13. Marijuana dependence.
14. Mad cow disease.
15. Low blood sodium
16. Primary cerebral lymphoma.
17. Alzheimer's disease. 

Now let's look at the prescription drugs that can cause hallucinations.

That's quite a list?

Now let's look at a few illegal drugs that can cause hallucinations.

1. LSD.
2. Peyote.
3. Psilcybin
4. PCP.
5. THC.
6. Methamphetamines.

Now as for people with active imaginations. Let's look at a profile of the average person that reports a UFO.

• They often believe they have psychic abilities.
• Most have had an out of body experience.
• They often believe they have healing powers.
• They are subject to hypnagogic experiences.
• They have vivid dreams.
• They have good memories.
• They receive messages from unknown sources.

Others, such as Steven Jay Lynn and Judith W. Rhue, expanded the research to other groups of people as well as confirmed the validity of the theory (Lynn 1988, Rhue 1987). They also found that them group of fantasy prone people is not a simple group but a rather complex combination of people

(Lynn 1988).

Discovery of the fantasy prone personality soon paved the way for ufologists still looking for some

commonality in the personality traits of UFO witnesses. Could this common denominator be this

"fantasy proneness"?

 

In this series of posts I'm going to concentrate on the 5% of people who see or experience things that were really there but cannot be explained. By the end of this series, I will give my best explanation of what is going on with the UFO phenomena.
